Cant get her to walk along a main road

Poppy is 4 months how and i cant get her to walk along a main road, she is frightened of the traffic. Any tips on how to over come this? thanks.

I can only really suggest building up her confidence gradually, on less busy roads?

She is not too bad on the roads on the estate but when we try the main road which you have to go along to go anywere other than the estate she shakes and refuses to walk.

You could try taking one of her favorite toys as an incentive or treats?

She wont eat treats while we are out, she is strange like that. Will try a toy.

As Saz says just build her confidence yes try a toy and divert her attention with it whilst walking. 

Bane isn't interested in his usual treats when we are outside as everything else smells so much better...maybe try small piece of mature cheese to distract her?

Does she go in the car? You could try get her out in the car on some busy roads with the window down a little so that she gets used to the noise of the traffic?

We carried Bane down the main roads when he was younger so that he was used to the noise so he doesn't bother anymore...I guess shes a little too big and heavy to carry now?
