jethro and winston's day out
Had to take my gorgeous Jethro to the vets to get his stitches out.. he got a clean bill off health..phew!! We took Winston with us and found a quiet park to have lunch and let the boys play. I am trying to avoid any places where there are alot of dogs till Winston has had all his needles. The boys had a good play..then a sleep..had to tie Winston up as he just wanted to play all afternoon. When we got home Winston was flaked out in his crate!

Seeing them play together, I'm almost in tears! Jethro really seems to love his new baby brother, it's so sweet! I love the pictures by the lake and the picture of little Winston in his crate! So happy to hear Jethro has a clean bill of health!!

That is too cute, looks like he's hugging it! Saxon loves paper towel and toilet paper rolls, too.

thanks for that.. yeah the vet was really happy with Jethro.. he said it was the worst compacted salivary glands he had ever operated on ! Yes Jethro is so good with Winston...we tied Winston up afterwards as you saw as he just would not leave Jethro alone and wanted to play all afternoon. Poor Jethro was buggered!! As I write this Jethro is up on the lounge..snoring......

Lovely photos, the wound looks really tidy your vet did a good job. I cant believe how tolerent Jethro is with Winston, I guess he is quite a playful dog himself though isn't he? Keep them coming, I love seeing these two play!

Re: jethro and winston's day out
So cute, reminds me of my two over the last year (and they're still at it at times). Vanessa, where was this lake & park, anywhere in Perth? We have recently moved here and still looking for places to exercise the dogs.

Re: jethro and winston's day out
thanks everyone.. yes Jethro is such a good boy. Winston steals his toys... kicks Jethro off his hammock bed...and when they are rolling around playing Jethro is very gentle.. it is like he knows he is a little puppy. Don't worry I have taken heaps of pics ( look out!! ) and a few short videos that the stupid photobucket won't let me upload...gggrrr!!! ( It always getting stuck on 31% ) Yes the vet did do an excellent job... he said it was the worse compacted salivary glands that he had ever operated on !! And I am so proud of little Winston.. he has already learned to sit before I feed him. Clever boy!!

Re: jethro and winston's day out
Lee, the above photos were taken at Mandurah.... near Halls Head. We live near Waroona and love going up in the bush normally........I wonder if you could google dog friendly places around Perth? I know Whiteman Park is dog friendly and there are some lovely places to walk through there.... Sorry I'm not much help!!

Re: jethro and winston's day out
Thanks Vanessa
We haven't been to Mandurah as yet, although everyone says its lovely. I have a link to the dog exercise areas around Perth including the beaches, but we took the girls once to the beach at south Fremantle and there were so many dogs it freaked me out. Probably didn't help that it was around 5pm the day after Xmas and the beaches were packed,

.. actually we don't like Mandurah.. too many mozzies and people!! haha... But we go to the vets at Halls Head, which is why we were there in the first place. ( sorry if I offend anyone who lives there! )
