Worst day so far with Ron Dog....
Oh my have I had a bad day.....
Been leaving Ron Dog out of his cage in the kitchen through the night and day for a few days now with no incident.
Today however Ive come home to all my vintage vinyl record collection destroyed on the kitchen floor and if that wasnt enough putting rubbish out tonight the wind caught the door and Ron Dog did one out of the house.... 2hrs of looking and searching he is finally home with a telling off from the people who found him
Today is a very bad day

Re: Worst day so far with Ron Dog....
I can only sympathise & tell you you're not alone!
When we had Bandit my oh had a collection of really good model aeroplanes (and I mean really good, expensive ones!). They were all on shelves in the living room.
We came home one day to find all of them destroyed - and only them! Then of course there was the time when he chewed through the bungs on my demi johns, knocked them over (well, two out of three) and spilt all the wine all over the kitchen floor.
And then there was the time we came home to find he'd dug a hole in the wall.
I'm so glad we had a crate with Dempsey. We shut him in at night until he was about a year old, and when we went out until he was about 18 months. However, he did run away from my oh once at the park. My oh spent over an hour trying to find him, and decided to come home & tell me he'd lost my dog...and found him sitting on my neighbour's door step! He didn't even have enough brain to sit on his own door step!

Awful day for you, Ali. If it's any consolation, many many of us have experienced similar (as Caryll has related above). I know I have - precious possessions destroyed and doggy escaping off into a dark dark night -that is the worst. Thank goodness Ron is back safely.

Wow!! I don't mean to boast ( well I do actually ) but I'm starting to realise how lucky I've been with the Sainted Bacchus. The only thing he has ever chewed was an old pair of slippers he was given to chew, and even those were never totally destroyed.
Of course it's all down to my fantastic training and understanding of the canine psyche.....not.

OMG!!! What a day! I am always worried that Roman is gonna destroy stuff so I keep a watchful eye and he is never on his own. He is crated at night.
My aunty and uncle had a staff years ago who literally destroyed their house. He shredded everything including the sofas. They came so close to giving up and rehoming him but stuck with it and he calmed down eventually!

O what a bad day, so frustrating for you. Oz has on,y destroyed 2 door frames when we first rescued him, he has never done anything else touch wood, we feel so lucky it could have been so much worse not knowing his history, that is barring killing my teddy and a few socks x
