Oh no terrible she will be down its very sad anytime but this time of year it seems so much worse. I think cause everyone is full of cheer and its somewhat annoying you just want to hide yourself away

Yes it must be, I hate all the giggling and festive cheer and I haven't got a problem like that poor woman!   

it is depressing

I get very weepy this time of year and no explanation at all for it

Aww Steve that poor woman my hubby's mum died the 19th dec when he was 20 he's always a bit sad at this time of year xx

Oh dear Steve, that is very sad for that poor lady, always a difficult time of year to loose a family member or someone very close.

I think I know what you mean Inez, I also get weepy at Christmas, I think for me because I have very happy memories of Christmas when I was a child with all my brothers being around, I really miss that, children make Christmas very special.  

My mum died a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was a bad time that year.

But time has a way of lessening the grief, and you move on. It's never easy, and it takes some people longer than others, but it does happen.

I do remember, Steve. I'm glad you were able to see his mum and give her kind words (as I'm sure you did). The first anniversary of a death is the absolute worst, she will start healing after this.
