Is it safe to give a dog ibrufen? I was chatting to a dog walker yesterday and she said if her dog hurts itself ie: joints , limping etc she gives her dog an ibrufen tablet. I have never heard of this. What are your thoughts and opinions on this matter?

I wouldn't, it can cause organ failure if wrong dose is given. It is always best to seek the advice of a Vet  biggrin

NO!!!!!!

Ibuprofen (I assume that's what you mean) is poisonous to dogs and cats!

Glad Caryll has given the answer, though I wouldn't consider anything like that  Smile

You need a painkiller from the vet (usually very inexpensive). Never give people pain meds to dogs.

I certainly would never do this, always contact your vet before you give your dog anything.
