Has anyone used Aludex
Afternoon All,
My vet has given us a 50ml bottle of Aludex to wash Jerry in, but I was wondering if anyone has used this before. Jerry has cuts on his face off his scratching and I was wondering if it is ok to put on his face and particularly on his cuts?

I've never had to use it, but it's a standard treatment, and (I think) quite effective. Have a read through the following...

Not on Biscuit but I'm pretty sure I have on my kennel dogs, if it's the one I'm remebering it works really well but it smells like petrol! Best to do it outside or open all of your windows!!!

Sorry no have never used it but looks good. Rocky just gets a good rinse under the shower from time to time.

Thanks everyone. I bathed him in it last night, it smells like white spirit. Now I'm wondering how long it has to be before he gets wet as he loves to swim and we are supposed to be going to the beach today. I can't find the answer anywhere - or maybe I'm a blind pew! Lol

Re: Has anyone used Aludex
We've used it on Moll when she was suffering from demodex. Effective but horrible stuff. I think it just had to dry completely naturally then after that they can go get wet. We used it for 5 treatments then had to stop as the cumulative effect was making her unwell. But luckily it did work. Good luck and big hugs.

You need to keep him dry between the baths for it to work its full potential. You do need to put it all over but be very careful around his eyes, did the vets give you barrier cream?
How has he been today? This treatment made daisy very poorly too, Ivermection is much better and less messy!
