Playtime gone wrong!
Last night playing tug with Daisy I managed to punch myself in the face Nose to be exact it was bleeding and I have two little cuts now which I had to try and cover up with makeup today! I'm used to getting bruises all the time but this is a first!
What injuries have you got from playtime with your pooches?

Numerous sizes colours shapes bruises, broken fingers, broken ribs, burns ( from trying to pull him back when on the long lead slipping through my fingers) occasional nip whilst playing - liability!

Nothing yet, but I often think a broken neck is forthcoming when I'm trying to walk down the stairs with one in front and one behind.............

Re: Playtime gone wrong!
Oh crikey Sazzle, I hope you're OK. Doesn't it make you feel a fool?
I have had little accidental playbites too numerous to mention, and a broken finger earlier this year from the extendable lead getting wrapped round my middle finger when Kuchar made a mad lunge, but the most serious (or at least the most visible) injuries I had ironically both came from my gentlest dog, my Dobie Rio:-
1. I bent down to pick something off of the floor - at the same time Rio took a flying leap onto the sofa and her bullet-hard head banged my eyebrow ridge. Owwww! The black eye the next day had to be seen to be believed - unfortunately as I was going through a marriage break-up at the time the doctors I worked for did not believe it was caused by a dog!
2. Few months later, encouraging Rio to play with a rawhide knot (I know, I know - now), I put it between my own teeth grr - grrr! Twisty twisty - what fun Rio, look! Ping - my second front tooth post-and-crown broke off at the post and I had a gap in my front row of teeth like someone on the Jeremy Kyle show. No problem I thought, new post will fix that. Only apparently that wasn't possible for some reason - I spent several months having the empty root dug out of my jaw, waiting for the splinters to work their way out, having a false tooth on a plate whilst all this happened and the wound healed (which was grossly uncomfortable and Oh - I left this blessed plate on top of the loo when I fled to bed with an acute migraine - and Rio ate it!!! Well she spat out the bits but they were no use to me by then ) and then having a bridge put in which cost an absolute fortune.
When Caryll (and others) bang on about rawhide knots being dangerous, I for one believe her !

Re: Playtime gone wrong!
The usual paw print bruises on the front of my thighs as he uses me as a springboard.. and torn ligaments in my hand as I stupidly tried to grab Rolo as he ran past my hand. I may have gotten away lightly so far!

Torn ligaments doesn't good! I know exactly what you mean about the pawprint bruises on thighs though! Although not from Daisy, from my mums dogs!

Re: Playtime gone wrong!
Nothing really now but when she was a pup had bruises from her nips and a few fingers came off second when we were playing. No broken bones though. But I must say they are 100% worth it
