Newbie from Australia
Hi All
My name is Lisa and I am an avid dog lover from Australia. I have four dogs myself including a staffy and four rescues at the moment.
My great passion at the moment to help our canine companions in my cancer website. It came about due to my own dog Frodo being diagnosed four years ago with histiocytic sarcoma. I am lucky he is still with me and I wanted to give something back to others to help them. Quick action, diligence and a fantastic oncologist saved my Frodo. I have learnt a lot over the last four years and found out many owners seem to need more knowledge on the topic. It helps when talking to your vet if you know the right questions to ask. I have had access to all the best experts in the field of canine oncology and they have assisted with the site. Names of the relevant oncologist who has checked the medical articles for accuracy is on the relevant page.
Thanks for a great forum and I hope some of you might find my site useful and it saves lives.

Re: Newbie from Australia
Just wondering??? Do many people use your chatbox and if so what times do people tend to frequent it as it would be nice to chat live
Re: Newbie from Australia
Hello Lisa! Brilliant work you're doing, and congratulations on the rescues! while I've been on, I don't think many people really use the chat rooms! But by all means pop in and see if anyone's about - I personally haven't ever been in! Thank you for the links, it's greately beneficial and I'm sure people will learn from it

Re: Newbie from Australia
Thanks so much for your kind words. I cant tell you how many hours I have put in with this website to try to get it right for dog owners. The only way we can fight this horrible disease is through education and research. Hopefully I have got both right. The research I have included is stuff anyone can do from anywhere in the world rather than just in say Australia. The site is a work in progress and will be constantly added to. The hard work is done on the website and now it is up to us all as owners to spread the word through our social media and emails. My work will be wasted if people dont read the site.CodlingKid wrote:Hello Lisa! As far as my rescue work goes. Well do I need to say more than four staffy x pups who are now seven months old. I have had them since two weeks and they are well trained and great dogs. Hard to find homes though unfortunately. They are such naughty little buggers when they are all together haha Mind you my four dogs have taught them some manners and they are great in the house with the guidance of the older dogs. I do have video of my puppies when they were being taught the rules of play. Can you put video on here?
Thanks again for your warm welcome. Consider spreading the website link through your social media.

The chat room doesn't really get used, we tend to go into the Dog N Bones Bar and chat there, please feel free to join where ever and when ever you like or start a new topic.FrodofromAus wrote:Just wondering???
