Re: A friend
Do you mean batting for the other side?
If so I would carry on as normal perhaps an embarrassment for them so wouldn't do to get funny about it

Re: A friend
I'd carry on as normal it's sometimes difficult to share these things as people are often afraid of reactions

Re: A friend
it wouldn't bother me if he or she was * it be the fact they wouldn't share it with me would be the problem. it would tell me we are not that really close.
Re: A friend
B. Being friends doesn't mean that they have to tell you every detail of their lives, particularly about something very personal and possibly distressing. A friend should never feel pressured into telling somebody something that they're not comfortable with sharing.

Re: A friend
I would be very disappointed that they didn't feel they could tell me but I don't think it would stop me being friends with them.

Re: A friend
Woah not at all! My mums a * has been with her partner since I was 9.. I've seen the problems that she had coming out and kept it a secret for her until she was ready when I was 17! She had a very religious boss who "disagreed" with it and made her life hell, so she kept it quiet for a very long time. It's so hard when people are so bloody small minded, I don't blame anyone for not coming out until they're ready! My friends know I like boys and girls and I don't care who else does either, but I don't really care what anybody thinks of me so it's easy for me to say that lol!!

Re: A friend
My best friend of 9 years is also * and didn't tell me for 8 of those years! Don't think he's any less of a friend in the slightest, he trusts me implicitly just wasn't confident in his feelings at the time and was scared!

Re: A friend
i think i like having people around me a bit like myself and prolly why i dont have many close friends
Re: A friend
A good friend of mine "came out" in work years ago.
He said afterwards that he was sweating as it was an office full of banter and "alpha males" (lol).
The only person who had a problem with it was a closed-minded secretary who treated him like a leper when she found out.
When he told me, I was surprised but just said: "Don't worry mate, you'll grow out of it."
LMAO - I have no idea why I replied with that - was all I could think of at the time.
TBH, I couldn't care less if friends of mine are g a y, or l e s b i a n or whatever.
