broxi barking for food
When i eat my dinner he normally sits on the floor facing me or beside me on the sofa and has a mini moan (i am guilty of throwing him the odd small stuff down to him) but with my girl he crys and barks at her for food, why the difference? does any of your dogs bark to get your food

Re: broxi barking for food
Rocky always takes himself off to sit in his bed while we eat our dinner, this isn't something we trained him to do but picked it up for himself.
Would it be possible for Broxi to have his dinner while you have yours, maybe fill a Kong for him ?

Re: broxi barking for food
Never a good idea to give a dog scraps at the table IMO. But it's your dog, your house, your rules. I spoil Bacchus rotten but two strict rules 1/ He never gets titbits when we're eating whether it be snacks at the t.v. or a full blown meal.
2/ He is not allowed on our bed.
Just a couple of things which I have learned from previous experience to avoid, especially the titbits thing. It can seem cute sometimes, but if you have people in for a meal he won't understand that it's suddenly not ok.
As I say, just my opinion.

Re: broxi barking for food
P.S.
We tend to eat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen and Bacchus likes to join us, but he has a bed in the far corner and knows that's as close to the table as he is allowed.
But then he IS perfect.

Re: broxi barking for food
Sasha's crate is in the kitchen when she sees us laying the table she takes herself off to bed for a sleep and if we are having a snack in front of the tv she will go and lie on her bed in the corner . Giving her human food has always been a no no. Sometimes if we are having a biscuit with our tea we give her a treat to so that she doesn't feel left out.
