My project
I finally have started my geckos fake rock wall build project.I started it yesterday, and spent literally all day measuring and cutting the polystyrene sheets.Im going to finnish today and start the task of grouting the whole thing then it will be painting and sealing the structure.I hope my gecko appreciates the efforts!
heres a few pics to share.Ill add more as i go along
It took ages just to measure up and fit the side panels .Here i started to add rock levels
Here you can see the stairs, supported by wooden bbq skewers to help with the weight. At the back is spaces for the water and mealworm bowls
Here is the left side with fallen rock detail
And the same again
Its hard to picture right now,but when its all painted up,it will look like red sandstone rocks

Re: My project
An update.Last night i decided to add a broken brick wall into the detailing, wich you can hopefully see in the photos.I started the last layer of grout, and mixed in some paint to help it stick out more in the photos. The final colours will be oranges and yellows though

Re: My project
another update lol.I mixed up the final wall paint with a watered down grout mix,and painted it on.Then afterwards it will have just a straight paint mix,and the fine detailing done. Then it will be pritty much finnished
