My dog cut his paw on piece of glass
Yesterday my staffy cut his left paw on a piece of glass outside. I cleaned the cut with water and then with hydrogen peroxide. I tried putting plaster and bandage but he immediately tried to take it off. Today a piece of fluff went between the cut, so I took it out and disinfected the wound again, however I noticed that a piece of meat? is hanging out a little bit. He does not really seem to be in pain and is still playful. Should I visit the vet, and should I go outside for a walk with him?

Ouch, Rocky did the same thing a few months ago so we popped along to the vet who gave some antibiotics and pain relief tablets and wrapped it up in VetWrap which is a type of bandage with lycra and is quite stretchy.
I would pop his to the vets so they can take a look, it may be infected. Keep him off the walks until you have been to he vet at least.

Yes a photo would be good?
Although it sounds nasty, I think a trip to the vet may be in order x

In this case, I'd recommend taking him to a vet. Paw injuries are very susceptible to infection, particularly if they're deep. Better to be safe than sorry!

Here are some photos.
It is pretty wide open now, even though it wasn't yesterday. The vet is pretty far away and transporting him is quite difficult especially that I don't have a car.

It looks clean, when Moo did that in all honesty all the vets did was clean it and dress it and I had to keep it dry....

Just the standard charge £30/£40 if I remember rightly, she did have to go in to have it re-dressed 3/4 times which was done for free, but to be honest I could have done that myself but my vets is very local.

Ouch that looks very painful, are you still taking him for walks ? maybe rest him for a few days to give it chance to heal up. Try to stop him licking it if he is too. Are you able to get hold of some VetWrap, this may help to stop him licking the wound:
