A factory shuts down cause the works refuse to accept pay freeze..not sure how i feel about that. Pay freeze means people can't afford to live, pay rise means the company can't survive (they have said they are already making huge losses at the moment).

If i was the workers i would take the pay freeze, end of the day a wage is better than the dole but with everything going up its going to be very hard.

Yes i think it is a bit more of a stubborn old grudge rather than making political sense! But if they go independant it will not be long before they go totally bust and come crawling back. Its the same as northern ireland, if we were to join ireland we would be destroyed!

I got a pay rise last year after 2 years freeze and it definiely make a big difference. For the hours/job i do it is very low pay really

I used to work in the catering industry and got paid for about a third of the hours I worked, it was pants really.
