can someone tell me

why do you need an huge house when there only 2 of you?

 i be quite happy with an granny flat

I know Steve my Mum and Dad have a huge 5 bedroom house and they rattle about in there.  

i dont think i will have any kids now so an nice 2 bedroom granny flat will do me fine now i dont see the point in having a silly huge house or whatever for 2 or 1 person it's just stupid

You don't need a granny flat Steve you need a Grampy flat!

I wouldn't say my house is huge but it's a 3 storey town house with 3 bedrooms and it contains just me and my son now (plus Kuchar of course) and trying to keep it clean with a filthy son and a filthy dog gets harder and harder. So yes Steve, I would also be happy in a granny flat (well not a flat, I need to have a garden and garage).

But the older you get the more you feel disinclined to move from what you know and love. The upheaval, the expense !!!!! and I like where I live.

Plus, if I downsized I'd have less to leave to my children (one of whom seems to have no inclination or indeed means to get a place of his own).

I like space, if im ever really bored i walk about my house and go into the spare room and it feels like im on holiday lol

we got a 4 bed ( incl study ) but only 3 of us . Nice to have the space when people come , grandbairn comes etc

I would like a bigger place more for the chance of getting off road parking and a garden for Ledger. I certainly use all the space in my 2 bed terrace and it's just me and Ledger have no idea how a family of 4 lived in here before me

I love space to, I would say our house is far from huge but it's a 3 bed, 4 storey house which we privately rent, but we do plan on having kids

Our is a three bed, but I'd love a bigger place

I have a two bed little terraced house which suits us fine for now but want to buy soon and that will have to have at least 3 bedrooms so we can start thinking about sprogs.

My mum has a 4 bed lovely big house which just has her and the dogs in it now since my dad passed away. She's absolutely in love with it though and wouldn't want to move away from her home just yet. She was talking the other day about getting it valued so she could think about selling in a few years time.
Also my sister lives in Manchester and my partner is from Liverpool so if I move up north, my mum probably will too to be with her daughters!

I would love to have some space, hubby and me live in a one person flat that is not suitable for us at all. We are on the list for a transfer so hopefully one day we will move, would love to have a larger garden for Rocky too and a kitchen would be nice
