toilet help, went backwards
Broxi has normally been very good at going out the back garden normally just crying or siting at door to let me know he wants out, lately over past 2 weeks he seems to think he needs to pee and poo in our bedroom and will no longer go outside for a pee, every single time we open the door for him he just sits there and looks out then comes back in,when we lift him out into the garden he normally just comes back to the door wanting in again then goes into bedroom to release himself.
Whats the best thing i should do.

Re: toilet help, went backwards
How old is he now? Darcy went through a phase at about 6/8 months were she thought it was ok to wee on the landing carpet, firstly clean the area with something that'll break down the odour so he can't smell he's been there, biological washing powder is good for this.
We just went back to basics putting her out every 1/2 hour/1hour and telling her wee wee's it's like she forgot for a couple of weeks that she was ment to go outside Hope this helps

Try to keep his attention outside untill he goes, what do you clean the area with where he goes inside ? Some cleaners will leave an ammonia smell which will encourage him to go on that spot again. Try a non biological detergent cleaner.

No, bleach leaves a smell of amonia which, to a dog, smells like urine. Use a biological washing powder or liquid - the cheapest will do for just clearing up accidents, and go right back to basics - outside every hour or so and loads of praise when he goes.Broxi wrote:Thanks,

I think you should probably stop him going into the bedrooms until he's remembered his manners!
