Look what we saw on our walk today

A heron!!

we got a few on my walk  i love seeing them

I was well chuffed, never seen one so close up before!

Beautiful birds - so graceful. There are a pair that live on the little island in the pond in the park near me.

I know that people with goldfish ponds don't like them, but they're only following their natural instincts.

We have a heron who visits the little river behind my house and I often see him there, or flying around. Also a white egret. I love seeing them, every single time.

I like to see these too, we have them in our country park and I often see them in the mornings when out with Rocky. They do make a strange sound too, I always think they have a prehistoric look to them.
