Bailey does not like pups!

Bailey is nearly two (we think) so I suppose he’s a teenager, so could explain his recent behavior towards puppies (showing who is boss), not all puppies but enough for it to become worrisome. As soon as he sees a puppy coming towards him he starts barking then as we get closer he starts growling and lunging towards the pup.
We are at a loss how to stop this behavior. If I see a pup in the distance I go another way, or stop, get him to pay attention to me, and try to distract him with treats, I have no idea if this is what I should do or not so any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are doing the right thing. Keep with it. Don't let him get away with it. Do not put up with it but also, do not risk the pup by trying to work it out through exposure. He needs to know it is not ok. A strong no or leave it command needs to be reinforced.

Agree with Ben, hopefully its just a phase and may pass, but if not you learn to manage it. Xx
