Update on Peppa
Firstly just wanted to say thank you to everyone who suggested I change Peppa's food, she is now on Wainwrights and is a much sweeter smelling pup! I've also noticed her poo looks much healthier now which is good.
I was also hoping for a bit of advice. Peppa is a very strong willed pup,and has shown signs of being very dominant with other dogs. She's really good with most dogs but some she has started to become slightly aggressive with. She's only 11 weeks, and only just had her last lot of jabs so has only just started socialising so my husband just thinks I'm being daft for worrying, but am I right to worry? I just don't want her to get hurt

Re: Update on Peppa
I wouldn't say you're daft, but you might want to just keep an eye on her play s a lot of other breed owners don't understand the way staffords play!

Staffys do play rough, don't wory but as Caryll said keep an eye and if you have step in do, have you thought of puppy classes?

Re: Update on Peppa
Puppy classes are worth their weight in gold ... if there is one near you it would be worth a look
As said above, staffs do have rather a unique way of playing. They are also particularly vocal while doing it, and the combination can seem quite confronting to those who aren't familiar with it!
My suggestion would be to watch closely and get to know how she 'plays', being ready to step in if things do get out of hand

Re: Update on Peppa
Thanks guys,we're starting at puppy classes next week which I'm really looking forward to. She's got sit, down, leave and here really well so I'm looking forward to us both learning more. No I've had chance to thinking about it rationally it was the other dog (actually her mum) who was doing the growling,so I don't know why I got so worried!

Good luck with the puppy lessons! I'm sure they are worth every penny
I have been asking for puppy lessons for Nana and what they have offered me are individual lessons, just Nana, is that right?

Re: Update on Peppa
I wouldn't worry if I were you! As others have said, staffies do have a different sort of play to a lot of other breeds.
Also, for her age, knowing the 'sit', 'down' and 'stay' commands is actually very good! I'm sure she'll be fine in her puppy classes!

Good news on the Wainwrights ( we feed it though and wish it fixed the smelly bum burps but unfortunately I have just accepted it must be in their genes )
Regarding the puppy classes , great idea and definitely 1 to pursue as long as the trainer is breed savvy , we started Tommy on older puppy classes and worked well for us
