Dog Coat Question.... Empty Dog Coat Question....

Post by winnie105 Wed Oct 02 2013, 18:40

Hi Everyone - I was going to buy Ron Dog a danish by design coat (but open to other suggestions)... couple of questions if anyone can help.

Im looking for a coat which Ronnie can wear with his harness, can you do this with the danish coats or is there another coat what can be worn with a harness??

Also he is 5mth now if I got a 20inch (which he is measuring at now) will it see him through 6-12mths or is it going to be too small in a couple of months??

Oh.... dog boots/shoes anyone tried them in the snow are they worth a go?? Never used them with my other staffs but its been 4yrs since I was last a staffie mummy and feel like Im learning all over again.

Thanks everyone for reading

if you get the size he is now it will last about a month lol i would get a few sizes larger and he will grow into it, as for the harness, most coats do a zipper in the back now for harnesses so look for one of those

Personally not seen coats with a zipper in the back for a harness , my 2 both have the DD coats and wear their harnesses over the top no problems

I bought Mia a new coat for winter. It is a Danish design 4 seasons in one coat. Has a detachable fleece lining with a waterproof outside. You can wear just the waterproof bit for rainy days and when the winter arrives can attach the fleece for warmth as well. Also has a hole in the back to attach your lead to the harness. I think it's brilliant and would say was better than my coat lol. Smile

Maybe they have changed them a bit since I bought mine then , our 2 have a hole just below the collar of the coat to get the D ring for the dog collar through if that makes sense , the harness has to go on top

Yes unless design it has changed it only has a hole for the D ring on the collar, suits us as we don't use a harness but you may well have to do what Dave does and the harness fits over the top Xx
