Might be off to Leicestershire!
I applied for a work experience opportunity on a dairy farm up in Leicestershire and I should be hearing back from them either today or tomorrow. Didn't mention anything before, as I didn't want to get my hopes up and honestly didn't think I'd actually get it, but it was narrowed down to me and a couple of others, so there's a chance!
Wish me luck!

Re: Might be off to Leicestershire!
Thanks! Really excited! I've been going down there with my family since I was about three years old, so a couple of the monks in the nearby monastery are basically like uncles. It's one of the only places, other than home, I can go to and feel completely comfortable. The village is only a twenty minute walk from the farm as well.

Thanks all!
Yeah, they have wifi there! No phone signal in most of the area, though! Going to have to search around!
I'm sure mum and dad would love a reason to visit there! It's a beautiful place!

Re: Might be off to Leicestershire!
Too far away from home! Besides, the place I want to go is one of the nicest places I've ever been in my life. I love it there!
Yeah, there are some aspects of farming that aren't the nicest, but it's all got to be done. I've separated sheep for the slaughter before and although the idea isn't pleasant, it has to be done.
