The world doesn't need spiders
Seriously what do they offer other than being creepy, scary and some cases dangerous? If there was button to wipe em all out, I'd press it immediately. They add nothing and we'd be better off without em.

Re: The world doesn't need spiders
You asked for it! Blame Janey, not me!
Spiders are extremely important for insect control. They are actually the largest group of predators in the world! They munch on insects that carry diseases and destroy crops, so if they weren't around, we'd be hungry and germy, with insects buzzing around all over the place (also the minor issue that we'd probably die within a few months as a result!) They're also important for wasps, who have their own role in the ecosystem, as wasps lay their eggs on spiders. Big spiders and tarantulas also keep down rodent and lizard populations! They're also suspected to control Rabies, as it's thought that some of the larger ones prey on bats as well.

I'm happy to put up with a few more insects if it meant no more spiders.Eleanor wrote:You asked for it! Blame Janey, not me! :D

Dude, you'd be dead within the year! You'd get some horrible disease that makes your genitals turn black and drop off, then you'd run out of food and die.

Omg! that sent a right shiver down my back!
I don't like them but would never kill one and they do have their purpose.
