My dog is swaying
My dog is not himself at all today. He is quiet, scared looking and wee's when I speak to him. He is normally so loud and boisterous. He is swaying slightly when standing or when lay down.
He usually has OCD about spinning but hasn't done this today and I'm worried he may have banged his head when spinning?
He is just so quiet it's not like him at all. He is 1 and is eating fine.
I have looked online and it keeps coming up as an ear infection
Any ideas??

Re: My dog is swaying
The best option is the vets, as soon as possible, I'm afraid. It isn't really something that we can pinpoint on a forum. A vet should be able to examine him and figure it out. Good luck!

I wouldn't like to guess at something like that. I'd get him checkd out by the vet, to be honest.

Re: My dog is swaying
Yes Pam, the best place is the vet's. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing more serious than an ear infection, but it will take a vet to decide.
Do let us know the vet's opinion, and Good Luck little boy

Re: My dog is swaying
Morning all. He is back to his usual spinning self, extremely giddy. I am gonna see how he is this afternoon and take him if it starts again as it worried me. Maybe he was tired as he had a huge walk the day before? I don't know. Will keep you posted

Re: My dog is swaying
So glad he seems to be over it.
I, too, would keep the appointment, just to set my mind at rest that there was nothing detectable 'in the background' as it were.

Re: My dog is swaying
Morning, he is fine, full of beans. I didn't take him to the vet, I don't know what it could have been. Maybe he was just very tired, he is like a child and doesn't want to miss anything so could be he was just exhausted which is why he was clingy and not being himself.
He is absolutely fine now tho ...., phew :-)
