puppy likes to taste the muck

Most times he goes out back garden he likes to chew branches and eat things from the ground,when he comes in and you open his mouth its always dirty, duno if sometimes that can upset his tummy? and maybe give him loose stools.

I try to notice when hes doing it and usally clap hard or something to make him stop,if there anything else you can try (muzzle not an option) rather try something else

Muzzle isn't needed the best thing to teach is a really strong leave it command, Darcy is never left unattended in the garden so I can see what she's doing and make sure she's safe too. It's best to just watch him the when he's digging or eating muck you can tell him to leave it.

Just a strong leave command and being one step ahead if its not what you want, Moo is forever chewing sticks and her mouth on occasions can be full of dirt, I just let her get on with it as long as its not something that she shouldn't have
