messing in crete/kitchen
My misty is 11months old and she keeps messing and peeing in her crete at night. She is walked plenty and I always let her out in the garden just before I go to bed I give her dinner between 4 and 5 and no water at night. I have always had an issie with her messing in my kotchen this is why I tried a crete she has been in the crete for over 4 months and was doing great at first but over the past month I have been waking up to her messing. Any help would be hreat as I am due a new baby soon and on my own and I cant have her messing in the hoise and crete with a newborn. I love her dearly and do not want to have to rehome her over something like this thank you

Hi, welcome to the forum. Please come and introduce yourself here...

I would say that something has happened to alter her routines, and that something could well be your pregnancy! Many dogs are very 'connected' to their owners' physical health, and pregnancy is often detected by dogs even before the owner knows about it!
I know it's difficult, but you could try setting your alarm for 3 or 4am & let her out for a pee/poo. Plus, make sure that her bedding is washed in a non-ammonia cleaner every time she messes it.
You may find that once the baby is born she'll go back to normal.
Have you sorted out where she's going to go when you have the baby, before you come home again?

Re: messing in crete/kitchen
Thanx for replying I had never thought that it was maybe the pregnancy. She had been fine in her crate before this month and I just about 6 months pregnant now she has always been very stubborn with toilet training but I thought I had finally cracked it with her. Yeah my sister is going to take while I have my baby then bring her home. People have suggested that maybe she is marking her territory do you think this could be the case ?

No, I don't think so. Bitches don't normally mark in that way. I think she's maybe feeling a little stressed with the change in you.
When you have your baby, rub a soft towel/tea towel on the baby & give it to your sister to give to Misty to sniff. That way she'll be used to the scent before you come home & the baby won't be a total stranger!
Good luck with the birth! Please stick around & let us know how you get on.
P.S. Pics are a must!
