Delicate subject
Have never seen Bacchus washing his lipstick. As a result he often has blobs of greeny brown gunk on the end which he deposits on bedding, the settee cushions, my shirts when he cuddles in etc.
The wife is getting a bit irate about this.
He is going to the vet in the next couple of days for his boosters, is it worth mentioning or is this normal with staffs?
Apologies if you haven't had breakfast yet.

Re: Delicate subject
Vinnie gets this too Rodger, I have never been concerned about it but it wouldn't hurt to mention it to the vet. I will be interested to see what they say.

It's a boy thing !
Tank is the same. I often wipe him up with a baby wetwipe !
It's a difficult area for them to reach themselves.

Re: Delicate subject
Delicate subject, Rodger on here no such thing
Do you have any baby wipes you could use to give him a wipe around the area?
You may want to mention it to the vet next time you are there.

Re: Delicate subject
Greeny-brown sounds a bit like an infection, so yes I think you should mention it to your vet.
But entire male dogs will make "emissions". And only castration will stop it. Sorry!

Castration won't always stop it, because it's lubrication for the sheath. It'll still be there.Lynda wrote:

Re: Delicate subject
Its totaly normal mate. As long as it doesnt smell its a natural doggy lube for the penis to slide in and out and nothing to worry about. My boy has the same and worried the hell out of me to as it looks like an infection but its perfectly natural as long as it doesnt smell...erm...fishy

Re: Delicate subject
Totally normal both the boys do it - one entire the other neutered
But they both clean them religiously or get the other to do it

Understand what you're saying Caryll. I can only say that since his op, the "man blobs" on all surfaces you could mention have decreased by 99.999%. Just my experience.Caryll wrote:

Re: Delicate subject
As Nathan said above I was also worried about this green/brown boy bit stuff, however having a chat to my vet assured me it was quite normal so long as there is no redness, swelling or off smell that accompanies it. She also said that, should Chiquito slack off on cleaning his own boy bits, a sensitive (unscented) baby wipe will do the job.
