Gatsby the 'Spaffy'!

Hi folks,

I joined a couple of weeks back, our collection date is ebbing ever closer and I thought I'd post the latest pictures of our Gatsby!

He's an odd cross that I've dubbed (rather ridiculously) a 'Spaffy'. He's the result of  happy accident between a male Springer Spaniel and a female SBT. We think he's gorgeous and we're both excited to find out how he'll turn out looks-wise. Both parents were lovely and calm friendly dogs so fingers crossed and with our help he'll grow up to be a fine upstanding member of the community!

Here are some pictures of him at about 5 1/2 weeks. As you can see he's already growing into a flopsy eared little chunkster!

Thanks folks, he really is a little cutie! The weekend cannot come quick enough. We're all prepped and ready for his arrival!

Sazzle - Thanks! I'd love to see how he might turn out, I've been looking on the web and they seem to vary a lot, we've been comparing Spaniel and Staff pups of the same age and he's definitely got the Spaniel's ears and domed head, but his body is much more chunky and solid than a Spaniel's. It'll be interesting to see how he turns out but for now I'm just excited to get this new little potato of cuteness!

Well, we've got our little fella home now, He's 7 1/2 weeks weighs 3.6kg. He's been to the vets and we have a happy healthy little pup! He's settled in nicely and so the journey begins! Here are a few more photos from the day we brought him home...

Aww! What a stunner! It's really interesting because they can turn out so different. Funnily enough though, Grace has the same sort of build to Gatsby and the same shaped head so who knows, he may turn out similar!

Theyve both got the long spaniel ears :-)
