This vet sat in a car for 30mins in the heat to see how awful it is for dogs. Worth a watch!

Really good video! Hopefully it'll get the message across to people.
I had to report somebody at my course a few months ago about that. On a farm at an animal course, of all places, the idiot had left their little dog in a locked car with all windows shut on a scorching hot day. Luckily, my friend had given me a ride down to the farm from the main campus, or I wouldn't have even been in the car park and seen it. Really annoys me that people can be so careless!

Sadly, there will always be people who are willing to risk their animal's health. Even if it's only intended to be for a few minutes, something could happen which might delay the owner.
If we're out with Dempsey in the car and decide to go shopping on the way back, I always stay behind with him in the car with the windows fully open to make sure he's okay.

Cant stand people that think its okay to leave dogs in cars. I sit in mine at lunch to get some peace away from work yet with all windows down and drivers door open its still sometimes unbearable. Even though the vid was good imagine him doing that in a fur coat unable to sweet...

That is such a great video, the worst thing is even though people know they shouldn't do it they still do for the convenience of themselves. It's horrible! Thanks for sharing that!

Great video Hayley, I wish once people were found doing this they'd have to suffer the same.

Re: vet sits in a parked car
I think there are many people around who do not realise how hot it gets inside a car when it is parked, I have often seen dogs in cars in car parks, in fact I saw one yesterday lunch time and it was quite a warm day around here yesterday.

Re: vet sits in a parked car
The dog trainer we took Moll to as a pup has a tool which attaches the a window and breaks it. She has called the police when a dog was in a car on hot day and they didn't come out so the window went. She called the RSPCA and police but nada.
I hate that people still leave there dogs in cars thinking 'they'll be okay, just leaving them for a few minutes...'

Re: vet sits in a parked car
A lot of dog people keep something like duct or parcel tape with them in case a window needs to be broken - cover the window with the tape, which minimises the risk of glass shattering inside the car and injuring the animal (or child, in some cases).
