Looking for suggestions/recommendations
I want to take Daisy away for a few days next spring, March/April time, I'm thinking Cotswolds/Wye Valley/Forrest of dean, that kind of area but I don't know it at all. So I'm looking for suggestions of somewhere nice to go in that region? If anyone lives or has lived around there or has been on holiday there? So I can try and narrow down my search!
Accommodation wise I'm looking for a small cottage, 1 bedroom as it's just us two, obviously dog friendly! Easy access to good walks (ideally without driving once I'm there) and a dog friendly pub would be good too And not too expensive! If you've been anywhere in that area that fits that description let me know
Thanks for reading

Yes I would say that Inez would be the one to ask as she lives in that area. It's one of my favourite areas too.Darcy-may wrote:Sounds lovely saz :)hope you find somewhere, inez may be able to help I'm sure she's near Forest of Dean

Saz I am finding difficulty in getting the links so I have listed a few for you to google. They are not all cottages but the places I know that have pubs within walking distance and plenty of walks without having to drive. x Not all 1 bedroom not a lot of them around.
Whitemead Forest Park, Parkend, Gloucestershire.
Miners Arms Whitecroft, Gloucestershire. (cottage is within pub grounds)
Hectors House, Bream, Gloucestershire.
Nagshead Cottage, Parkend, Gloucestershire.

Re: Looking for suggestions/recommendations
Yay yes Little Briar is gorgeous and looks out on to fields and woodlands. The woods behind lead to the nature reserve and other walks whichever direction you take.
Both pubs only 2mins walk and both dog friendly x
You may see plenty of piggies too! x
