Skyla peeing herself
I've soooo many questions lately I do feel a bit daft.
We've had Skye 4 weeks today (she's 4 yrs old ) and she's settled in fabulously.Apart from one thing. I'm at home all day with her and she's as calm as can be...with me AND the kids, she's an angel.
As soon as the other half walks through the door at 3.30pm she turns into Chucky the mental dog.She loses the plot. She dives around, she jumps off chairs, she flips over......and she pees on the floor.
Why? Is she just excited? Is she trying to dominate? (She is spayed)... what is she doing? (She only pees over men,but in excitment, not fear).

I honestly don't know! Does your oh spend much time with Skyla, maybe if he walks her, feeds her etc she'll stop getting so overly excited when he gets home, or maybe take her out to him when he gets home. Not too sure really, all I know is its all still so new to Skyla, its only been 4 weeks and being a rescue they settle in differently. x

Re: Skyla peeing herself
nothing to do with dominate, she may have a weak bladder how many time are you takign her out & how long for?
Re: Skyla peeing herself
Could be a weak bladder, but as it only happens when your OH comes in, I'd say it's more likely total excitement!
The only thing you can do is try to contain the exuberance a little. Tell your OH not to fuss her or talk to her until she is sitting quietly. Easier said than done, but it's possible if you are consistant & determined!

She gets 3/4 walks a day and the back door is open from when we get up so she has full run of the garden.
It's just bizzare that he's the only one she piddles over.Maybe she just finds him a big joke and really is 'PMSL'!
