Dempsey has one - he'll chase it for ages :DPretty much runs full pelt with it between his front legs.

Re: The Boomer Ball
Lou loves her boomer ball - sends her crazy, but she is very annoying with it, she wont walk probably to the field as she knows i have it - its a 10 inch so i cant hide it - i put it in a carrier bag, but she often rips the bag to get to the ball - she runs around like a loon dribbling it along the ground - but then when it comes to going home i cant get her to stop running round so that i can pick the ball up - she definitely has selective hearing. Then to pick the ball up, i have to run it up my body with one hand so its all slimy and wet, becuase i have to hold Lou away wth the other hand.
My husband generally takes her out wth the ball x

Re: The Boomer Ball
definitely not an indoor toy - also Lou cant play with it in out garden as there are too many steps and the decking - if it goes down the step she cant pick it up to play on flat ground - so its for the field only for us.

And another plus is that it buggers them out after 20 mins - a tired dog is a happy dog.

Re: The Boomer Ball
I came here to make a thread on the boomer ball but saw this, so I hope you don't mind me asking my question here?
Troy loves his boomer ball too, gets some good running in using this but I think it has caused an issue. I try not to let him try bite on it too much but it appears the ball has actually worn down his front teeth..quite badly too.
Has anyone else come across this issue? I have took it away for now.

Re: The Boomer Ball
havnt come across that problem but it has had a problem with his dewclaw, we think its down to where he trys to pin it still,
(it started bleeding) I have seen on some forums that if the animal does bite it, it can be sanded back smooth (havnt tried this yet)
he must be Really trying to chew it to do that

Re: The Boomer Ball
Yeah, he really goes for it. I never realised but he has filed his teeth right down. They don't hurt him to touch and I have red they should harden with a black spot but I worry what it might mean for his health in the future?
I don't use the ball anymore which is a shame.

Re: The Boomer Ball
Pixee loves her bloomer ball and just goes crazy with it. She can however pick it up, and Gee like your Troy, it has filed some of her canine teeth down abit, which has worried me but is not hurting her either, so I have let her carry on with the ball as she loves it so much. You want to see the holes in the ball now She plays with it in or outside.

Re: The Boomer Ball
With the boomer ball, you need to buy a size that it too big for your dogs mouth, so they cant pick it up and cant get any purchase on it. Lou's does have scratches on it, hers is a 10inch ball, but there is no way she can get her teeth on it.
as I sais above, our problem is her banging her mouth against it and causing her lips to bleed.

Troy has filed his front teeth down to the point you can see the cavitiy / root (?). They look squared off like human teeth!Staffy lover wrote:Pixee loves her bloomer ball and just goes crazy with it. The ball is too big for his mouth, but he gnaws on it..if that makes sense? He can't pick it up, but sort of like opens his jaw over the ball and tries to bite it. I don't think an even bigger ball would stop this?Mrs McFisher wrote:With the boomer ball, you need to buy a size that it too big for your dogs mouth, so they cant pick it up and cant get any purchase on it. Re: The Boomer Ball
Wilf loves his,
Had is over a year now and drives him mental as he chases it round the park and then when catches can only grind it slightly still no holes.
Only downside is that when he has this ignores all the other dogs he normally plays with on the dog park but it does the job and tires him out very well
Biggest tip - Don't toe end it when playing football with them cost me a broken big toe ;-)
