Curses Empty Curses

I must have one on me seriousely what with all the problems i'v had lately and for years.
The last week Blondy/Elga and Cassie Emergency vets I took Elga the same time as Cassie today, Cassie got stung by a bee which i removed, her whole face swelled up eyes swelled shut, lips, ears everything within minutes of being stung, she was fine in her self until the odd wheezing acured, So off the vets she started panicing again and wheezing even more. Got there and vet met us outside and carried Cassie in a room, I had to wait about an hour before they let me see her went in there, she was laying on the table had an oxygen mask near her muzzle and she had a drip in. I wasn't allowed to take her home so now i got to wait till tomorrow to hear something before i can go pick her up. The swelling had gone though and she was looking much better but they would have to observe her overnight.
No sleep tonight worried sick and both other dogs pinning like no tomorrow and looking around the flat for Cassie.

Awww, poor Cassie. Glad that you got her to the vets quick smart and treated straight away. Good news that the swelling has reduced. Hopefully with help from the vet and a lot of TLC she will be back to her normal self real soon.

Jethro has also had a very bad reaction to a bee sting or similar.. and he was raced to the vets and had 2 needles. Now I keep human antihistamines in the cupboard for him... he did get bitten a while back, tried him with a tablet first.. definitely helped him, didn't have to take him to the vets that time!
Hopefully that is your run of bad luck over.. big cuddle to all your patients!!

It's always useful to have some Piriton in the cupboard for emergencies!

Yeah I got her back this morning and i wouldn't take no for an answer either, she fine as well been playing all day with the other pair, I'v never felt "comfortable" using human medicines on animals to be honest but if you guys know of any and directions for use I'd be really greatfull.

So glad she's back. I've usually got some Piriton in the cupboard. I rarely use human medicines for animals, but that's good one for relieving allergies. Just one tablet will normally do the trick.

I was told about it by a country vet we used to use in Hay on Wye. Bandit had a bad reaction to being stung by a swarm of bees & he gave us a couple of these & said that he wouldn't give us any more because we could buy the same thing in the chemist - Piriton!

Its crazy how taz refuses to wake up before like 12 pm won't go for walk either. I call walkies the bi*chs react and race to the door Taz lifts his head looks at me then crashes his head back down and very quickly starts snoring his head off.
