to be honest its all the jack russels and westys that need keeping on a lead and muzzleing ive had to physicle boot a jack russel in the * to stop them attacking marley and when they go for him he just lies down and lets the other dogs jump on him and attack him and ive also had to have a confrontation with an elderly man for smacking marley with his walking stick for sniffing his dogs bum how rude is that, i wouldn mind but he wasnt evan doing anything other than saying hello and got a smack in the ribs with a stick, and yes the media has alot to answer for

cut a long story short. its people around my area acting like my 8 month old pup is going to kill there dogs and bite they kids. and it came to a womon smacking my dog with a stick because he was playing with her dog. ive been told to muzzle him not take him out. gets me mad id lv to swear because gets me mad

Its pure ignorance mate. It drives me nuts cos charlie often gets growled and snapped at by little dogs and he just takes it and the other owners just laugh it off but if it was the other way round, there'd be hell up. Thankfully no one has been funny about him being around their children, that would really make me mad cos charlie is absolutely fantastic with children, as are the majority of staffies.

its the media i cant wait for zena to come into my home and i be walking around with two. even more so zena has rockwiler markings. his been bit 3 times once under eye. its coming close to me getting in a scrap next time i have trouble its not fair on the breed will it ever change ?

Indiscriminate breeding & bad owners have given a bad name that'll last for a long time yet. All we can do is spread the word that they're better than most & not as bad as some!

That's so terrible!! My gosh! I thought people crossing the road and giving me looks was bad, don't know what I'd do if someone hit my dog with a stick! I may have ended up in the back of a cop car for my reaction!!

Most people are still living in the past from how the breed came to be and why, then as Caryll says bad owners have continued just ignore and continue to defend our beloved staffordshire bull terrier if we all stick together we will win the battle
