We have a wedding to go to at the end of September in Truro, Cornwall. We've booked into a hotel for the Friday and Saturday nights as the wedding is on the Saturday.

The hotel is pet friendly so we could take him with us. I said to my partner we could take him with us, put him in day care for the Saturday and Saturday night while we're at the wedding and then take him to the beach on Sunday.

However I've Googled and can only find one Doggy day care in Truro and they're fully booked. I don't know how keen I am on kennels so I think we might have to scrap the idea and leave him at home with someone...

Is there anything else I could look into that would mean he could come with us?

Why dont you speak to the people that own the hotel , maybe they can advise of people that can help in the area , or maybe even they offer some kind of service , if you don't ask you don't find out Smile

Is it also not possible to invite a friend / family member along ( pay for the room Smile ) and get yourself a dog sitter for the wedding day

I have the same issue coming up Saturday, off to Devon for a week with the wedding on Saturday, the lady who owns the B&B has 2 dogs and said she could have Moo on the day of the wedding, so I am going up early Friday to see if it would work outand if not on the day of the wedding I will get a taxi back and fourth a couple of times to let her out and she will have to stay in the room, for 1 day it won't hurt Smile

Good luck Xx

I emailed the hotel and when I mentioned he's a puppy they originally said they don't allow puppies because they can't be left alone in the rooms...

But I didn't say he'd be left alone at any point!

So I emailed back and assured her he will never be on his own (who would leave a 12 week old pup unsupervised in a hotel room anyway haha) and that he also sleeps in a crate so wouldn't be roaming free in the night.
To that she replied that he can come, but they charge £10 a day for dogs. Fair dos.
She said she doesn't know of any services like doggy day care but gave me the numbers for two kennels nearby.
I'll have to do some more research and see what I can sort out. If I think he'll be better off staying at home with a friend (we have no shortage of friends who are willing to puppy sit surprisingly lol) then that's what will happen.

Watch this space!

Thought I'd let you all know we found a solution and Bruno is coming to Cornwall with us! I'm so relieved Smile

I've found a lovely lady who runs a pet sitting and dog walking business nearby, rang her up and had a nice chat about what we're looking for and she said she's free that weekend so she'd be happy to have him for the day and night! The rest of the time he can be with us. We're going to take him to the beach!

And to make it even better, it's only going to cost £25. I had originally spoken to someone where we live and he quoted nearly £80!!

Can't wait can't wait!

Oh and I bought my dress for the wedding too... It's so pretty. Now I need shoes and a bag and jewellery and make up and this and that and the other... Laughing Laughing

Brill news, well found!

Happy shopping, oh and happy packing, it takes longer to pack for the dog than it does for us! Smile
