fussy raw eaters advise
so our last Daf order has now bin used up and i would like soem advise on what to order for my next one *they are on tripe mince in the mean time)
our last order was tripe chunks, neck chunks, wings and liver
they ate the neck chunks fine
the tripe mainly got left out all day till they decided they could be bothered but it seemed like a last resort for them.. they wer pretty much the same with the wings
they wouldn't touch the liver until my husband cooked it up in to treats for there walks
so im a bit stuck on what to order this time.. they LOVE mince no matter what it is they will go crazy for it but they just seem annoyed by giving them actual bits so i feel like i should just give mince but i know this looses its goodness etc so what would others suggest i could try them on ?
with the bits i ordered the chunks were so big they were getting 1 or two items a day so either a massive slab of tripe as a meal one day then some wing and tripe the next i mixed it up depending on the size of the bits
im planning to order neck again as that went down so well ... if i propperly defrosted the neck chunks would they be ok for a kitten do you think ? xxx

Tough love
Don't leave food out all day, leave it down for 15 minutes and take up whats not eaten and offer whatever is left and NOTHING else next meal and repeat. No treats or anything in the mean time
Yes the neck chunks should be fine for a kitten

Re: fussy raw eaters advise
put their bowls in the fridge until next meal and keep offering just that.
The most stubborn dog i know went 10 days without food before giving in but most dogs only go a couple of days

Re: fussy raw eaters advise
Good advice. I used to worry if a meal was missed but now if they walk up to the bowl, sniff it and walk away I just put it in the fridge until the evening. So far one of my dogs has only gone a full day without food but I don't pander to it anymore. They get a really good mix of quality raw meat, fish, etc, so they should think themselves lucky

Re: fussy raw eaters advise
Chiquito gets the same bowl of food over and over until he eats it ..... more because I do not want to make him fussy than because he is terribly fussy, however he has been known to turn his nose up at a perfectly good bone or hunk of meat before - too well fed I say
