help please?
I am kind of new to the forum and the website so I would like to start by saying hi and, asking for your assistance. I have a 3 month old puppy and this morning when I went to feed him he had these new bumps on his back and chest. I was wondering if anyone has some experience with these and I just wanted to see if anyone else might have some knowledge on this type of thing

Re: help please?
Hi and welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having problems!
It might help if you could show us some pictures of the lumps so that we can look at the shape, size, etc..

Re: help please?
I have no experience in this but they are quite big, personally I would take a trip to the vets. But someone else may know here. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Re: help please?
It's probably a good idea to get them checked out, but try not to worry too much. Whatever they are, you've caught them early. It could be Lipomas, which are just deposits of fat sitting underneath the skin - they're almost always harmless and feel soft and round. But it's better to be safe than sorry.

Re: help please?
It could be a minor infection. But as said above, the best bet is a vet visit.

Re: help please?
Could be allergic reaction. Although I'd expect to see many many raised lumps with an allergy reaction.
My girl has been bitten by gnats, looked similar.
Keep a close eye on her, any swelling of the face, more bumps or difficulty breathing then VET ASAP.

Re: help please?
They kinda look like bites.
You could try giving him half a piriton tablet, twice a day. It may not help, but it won't harm!

Re: help please?
Hi Justin and welcome.
It's strange that such big bumps should come up overnight. They could well be insect bites, but glad to hear you have a vet appointment on Friday so they can be checked out.
Try not worry, take the good advice above meanwhile, and do let us know the vet's opinion on Friday.

Re: help please?
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me
They look like either an allergic reaction to something or insect bites. Try giving an antihistamine tablet, you should see them go down in a day or two. Please try not to panic.
