Re: Poo no other way to put it hahaha
Apparently put bannans in his food is meant to work BUT if he's like mine that dont work because he dont like em'! LOL .. Vinnie usually does this but i use "AH!!" and he usually will leave it and walk away to the point when he wont really bother much anymore

Re: Poo no other way to put it hahaha
it's really nasty at time once i thought she had dry mud on her so without thinking i pull it off and i never smell sooo nasty in my life i was pretty close to
Re: Poo no other way to put it hahaha
I smell all the time anyway Steve. Thanks for the excuse not to get a bath for another 2 weeks. I'll just blame it on the dog and say it's because he rolled in poo before on his walk.
It is said they get good nutrients from number 2's.
Only thing I can think of is teaching the leave it command, but that's only any good if your with them 24/7

Re: Poo no other way to put it hahaha
Thanks Blue, yes i am here 24/7 with him I'll start tomorrow but i won't get the one he does during the night as he will cleared it up himself
My friend who got the rotties, said when we had a border collie cross, he rolled in fox poo, and she said either get some tomato ketchup or tinned tomatoes and rub it into the fur then bath the dog as this should get rid of the smell, her oldest rottie loves rolling it, so she's stocked up with ketchup hahahaha

Hi Anne,
Maybe you could feed him a little earlier so that he doesnt go to the loo during the night,
just a thought x

Re: Poo no other way to put it hahaha
Pineapples are recommended if you can get them to eat it. Feeding earlier and walking an extra once maybe, will stop him from going in the night and teaching the leave command for when he is out and about and around other dogs and animals feces.

Thank you Claire,Lisa and mooch
Now come to think of it, i remember the vet saying something about pineapple, thankyou you've all jogged my memory
Well he's done 2 lots this morning and not even tempeted to eat it. Perhaps he was just recycling But i will try the pineapple or the banana as earlier suggested

I saw once on a program a poodle eating her feces but she was also addicted to banana's as well and still ate her feces.

I remember shaking tabasco sauce over the poo of my nans labrador once because he was a poo eater. You have to catch it soon as hes done one so he doesnt get a chance to pick it up.It does work, but make sure the neighbours aren't watching you otherwise you will get some funny looks!

In the meantime you could feed him a few charcoal biscuits to help the wind situation
