Saffi - 4 month old American Bulldog cross in South Wales
Saffi is a 4 month old American Bulldog cross and is currently on foster in Llanbradach.
The Saffi Fact File
Dog status: Excellent
Cat status: Good but can chase as young.
Child status: Very good
House training: Almost there!
Home alone: Not suitable for full time workers.
Basic training: Blank canvas!
Saffi is going to be a large girl but she has a wonderful gentle nature.
Saffi is in foster with other dogs and has been great with all of them and dogs she has met out and about. She is very playful and loves the company of other dogs. She could be rehomed with another dog or as an only dog as long as she had doggy play dates to continue his socialisation.
Saffi was also in foster with cats and while she will sometimes chase there is no malice. Due to her size and playfulness we would suggest that confident cats would be best.
Saffi loves people and is a confident young lady who is happy to say hello to everyone. She could be rehomed with children and is in foster with children from very young and older. You would need to take into account that she is does get excited and small children could get bumped and knocked over however she has been gentle and kind.
Saffi has started some basic training but is a blank canvas for you to work with. She is food orientated and is quick to learn and needs kind and patient positive training to give her the start she needs. She has started walking nicely on a lead and will sit when asked. She would also need to attend puppy classes as a condition of rehoming.
Saffi is almost there with her house training and can be left for short periods though this has always been with other canine company. She is not suitable for working households though and at present needs someone in for most of the day. She is not destructive (apart from being a puppy), has shown no possessive behaviour, travels well in the car and is great at the vets.
In summary Saffi would like an active family home with the time and dedication to train a young dog and get the best out of her. She would like someone to be in for the majority of the day and definitely likes cuddles!
Puppies need to be neutered at their new owner’s expense. Neutering is a condition of adoption and something we follow up to ensure it has been completed.

We do not rehome puppies to full time workers
Puppies must also be taken to training classes and this will be followed up. If you do not know of training classes in your area please research this before you contact us about rehoming.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered (if over 6 months), vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. We have a suggested minimum donation of £160. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
