Our dog Ozzy is 16 months old and 2 weeks ago we brought home a rescue dog approx 3 to 4 years old Freeman. Freeman has seemed to have been well looked after (he was found as a stray) microchipped (details out of date) very friendly and generally quite calm. In the first few days Freeman was mounting Ozzy obviously trying to show his dominance. That has now settled down, but now Ozzy is constantly jumping on Freeman I think to get him to play with him but Freeman is not interested, he doesn't play on his own but when they are together they fight over everything , balls, toys etc. I was hoping for a companion to play with Ozzy and keep him company, is there anything I can do? Will it improve with time?

Hi! 2 weeks isn't very long at all, and I'm sure they'll settle down. Fighting over toys is a form of playing I think! Freeman must be still 'finding his feet'. So lovely that you got a rescue dog. They look so cute together. Good luck and let us know how it goes Smile

Well done for rescuing Freeman, I'm sure things will be great once they both have a chance to settle down togther and Freeman is feeling a bit more at home with you too.
