Disastrous walk on the beach!
So....... husband's away all week and I've taken the week off to do a bit of decorating and walk the girls.
Today:
New Ezydog harnesses, leads, etc. Begin the very steep, very slippy slope to the beach. Family with 2 loopy dogs and 2 toddlers ahead so I have to try and go slowly - wet slope, not easy. Managed to get to the top of the steps - Chloe sounding like a pig on heat at this point/Lola as low to the ground as a Staffy can get/people looking up at us as we approach...... I let them off and shout WAIT, they do, I scramble down the steps and take them left (families go right, left is more 'doggy')
But there are at least 6 families down there to the left - all the men playing football with their kids (Lola's off like a rocket after the ball) and all the women lying sunbathing (Chloe's off like a rocket to give them a face lick) Take them further down the beach where it appears to be empty - why? we soon find out as we sink in clay up to my ankles/their knees.
Can't face going back along the beach to repeat the whole thing so decide to go back up thru the woods - so wet, so overgrown, so muddy, I'm wet like just got out of a shower in 5 mins. We slip and slide our way back to the top - takes 40 mins. I have a tumble - girls start looking a bit stressed.............
Then a 15 mins walk back to the car with people looking at me, thinking why is she covered head to foot in mud?!!!
Tomorrow we're going to the forest......... :-)

Re: Disastrous walk on the beach!
I'm used to looking like a tramp after a dog walk now..muddy paw prints all over me and even whole sides coverd in mud when i have been pulled over. I just want to look people in the eye and then point menacingly at the dogs
