New car
Have just treated myself to a new car :Dits a Vauxhall Astra VXR, 2.0T 280bhp :Dgot a few plans for it, but will only be cosmetic touches to start as it comes with a lifetime/100,000 mile warranty that I'd like to keep for a bit before modifying
It is Summit White with the following options:
- Aero Pack (consisting of rear spoiler, extended side skirts and the 20" alloys!)
- Sat Nav
- Premium Forward Lighting System (LED DRL's, AFL etc!)
The AFL's move direction as you turn corner etc which is pretty damn cool
Couple of videos about them!
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fvaO9CEin9Q
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OwZ2Q2jJNEo
And now the pics :Donly dealer pics, but when I take delivery of it next week I'll get some proper pics up

VXR perfect car to change all that they dont even tick over at 30 miles an hour but will still be great to try and drive at a law abiding speed

Re: New car
Cheers everyone
Qashqai's can look nice, but I'm not too keen :oops:my dads mrs had a white 500 and for a 1.4 it was pretty nippy and done crazy amounts of MPG
It's getting the stage I just want to sleep until Wednesday afternoon :lol:should have it for 3pm hopefully
Going to start washing and sealing it ASAP and then drive to work :(and won't be able to fully enjoy the car until Monday may be time to tell my mum we need a guard dog ....

Re: New car
Nice car Stu - I have an Astra too, just not quite as upgrade as yours!
One thing - maybe a bit late, I dunno - you mention sealing it. I guess you mean the paintwork? When I got mine, I paid £300 extra (yes they twisted my arm) to have the paintwork treated in some way to seal in the factory-new shine and shrug off the muck, and I must say I am pleased I did it. 4 years on and when washed, the car shines like new and white as snow.
Enjoy!

Yeah I'm pretty into my car cleaning/detailing so I'd prefer to do it myself! I've told the dealer not to wash it haha!! I've just spent over £100 on car cleaning products, as nearly everything I have is for dark coloured cars! Sealing the paintwork is better on white cars rather than waxing! Waxing brings out the depth in the paint, whereas white paint doesn't have depth. £300 for 4 years is a pretty good investment though

Just been informed the car was damaged in the crash !
Vauxhall have a car built with the same spec as I wanted. Plus full leather seats, Infinity upgraded sound system and tyre pressure monitoring system that we can have! So should have that by Wednesday next week. Fingers crossed

Blimey Stu what a choker. Glad to hear that Vauxhall are bending over backwards to recompense you - and more.
I've been happy with my own experiences with Vauxhall - your story has enhanced their reputation in my eyes

The car park was half empty, but if you seen the way people up here open doors you'd do the same ! I witnessed a woman open her door twice into another car, reverse back out scraping down the side and just leave !
