Hey all.
Well things have been so crap again, biting is still a big issue shes not learning. My sisters and brother dnt like her and dnt want her around the kids cos she will be playin fine in garden at my sisters thn she goes for the kids legs.
My mum is getting grief from them about not keeping her.
I just dont know how at this stage she isnt getting it at all its constant stress and no 1 likes her.
She has started again on my mum a few times and she gets so snarly

I dnt know what else to try

Aww please don't despair, it does take time and some take longer to learn than others, Darcy was 4/5 months before the biting settled down its only now at 11 months that she understands when I say "enough" that she is to stop, try not to get frustrated as she'll pick up on it, try to be positive, we've all been there and know what your going through Smile

Thanks. I just want this to work so bad, i feel very alone with her tho as one day my mum is commited, nxt she has had enough and says shes scared of her.
Im startin training class nxt monday and im annoyed as my sister said to my mum it wont help bla bla bla! She done nothin with her spaniel at all he is a looney but im doing all i can and shes responding so slow, the kids are annoying me as they r so annoyin they want her attention then dnt and they shuffle past her which makes her go for legs n feet.
All of a sudden too its hard to walk 3ft on lead as shes swinging off it growling!!!
I dnt know what i would do without this forum.

It seems she does get very excited when the kids are around, and everyone needs to understand she is only young, it takes a lot of time, and consistency from everyone for her to really learn, Rocky is 6 months and still bites and has a little over excited moment where he does things he knows he shouldn't, but you need to be with her at all times to correct the problem as soon as it happens, I hope the training classes go well, im sure she will do great! It really does get better. I nearly gave up on Bacchus and considered returning him to the breeder. Then all of a sudden it clicked with him. Now at 1 year old I still get amazed at how well behaved he is in the house, half the time you don't know he's there. Sounds to me like it's the other people in your household who are the problem, by not being consistent, not the puppy. I think the children are being very unfair and acting like brats, winding her up then complaining when she reacts. Can't you rehome the kids???

......and breathe.

Puppies are so difficult, and they're all different! Some will stop the hyper stuff very quickly, others take a bit longer. Remind me what she's fed? How old is she now & much exercise do you give her?
