Woo-hooo...........we've got rain

Ok, i'm guessing most of you are not as excited to hear about rain as me but we have'nt had rain her in Perth ( Western Australia ) for a while now and it was so nice to wake up this morning to the sound of pitter-patter on the roof.

Goodness knows, we certainly need it. For the Dams, the farmers and the gardens

I bet the farmers will be over the moon. We have the same problem here. Only difference is we lack the other element for things to grow. Forget what it's cald but some old folks say it's used to be bright and light up the sky

Spent most of it in the garden power washing the decking and flags down. Found out in the 7 hours of doing it Blue likes chasing the power washer then running away from it.
He's flat out now, shattered from chasing water all day.

Caryll......No rain today. The sun is shining again but at least it's not too hot for a change.

and I agree entirely Lisa!! Where we live our paddocks are nothing more than dust bowls.. our rainwater tanks are empty... we were really starting to panic. I know it has been over 64 days since it rained in the capital of Perth.. but I am sure it is longer than that where we are.
Even the main dams that supply Perth their drinking water are at around 24 % and one is even down to 9 %.. that is really serious!
Am absolutely loving this cooler weather... not used to it!
