Squeak and Leak!! Empty Squeak and Leak!!

Post by Weller Sat Jul 13 2013, 07:57

Hi
Does anyone else have to manage the "squeak ad leak" syndrome? As soon as Weller gets remotely excited he starts peeing. This includes meeting other dogs and people. He does it even if he has just emptied his bladder.!

Darcy used to do this a lot when she was excited, funnily enough mainly with men? It still happens occasionally but I tend to ask people not to fuss her until she's calmed down & sitting otherwise there'd be pee everywhere Laughing

They dont have full control over their bladder until at least 6 months so it's gonna happen, a lot. He will grow out of it though so dont worry, although it does take longer for some pups than others.

A lot of puppies take a while to gain full control of their bladders. Smile Try not to let it worry you. When they get excitable, it's quite common for them to leak a bit.

Tilly used to do this all the time when I came home or my stepson came to visit , I used to phone the OH before I came down the drive just to give her that last chance to empty , by 4-5 months she was fine
