Bamse (teddy bear) was an official member of a Norwegian minesweeper (The Thorrod) in the 2nd world war - even getting his own steel helmet.When Norway lost their fight with Germany The Thorodd escaped to East Scotland. He was posthumously awarded the Norges Hundeorden (1984) and the PDSA Gold Medal, the equivalent of the George Cross, (2006). A true hero

yeah i know i been told about it because i'm not from Scotland so i went to visit it and i'm gonna come back there again soon is only next city beside me . there is a 2 big statue some where in montrose but i think i need to find it first where it is because i don't know :/
