Update on Tiger and her first walk!
Tiger is now around 21 weeks old, her surgery went great, the specialist looked at the X-rays and we got to take her out today for the first time!
She did fantastic, across the road is a 1-2 year old white Staffy called Sid, his owner looks constantly angry but they're good enough people, well...she had the time of her life, we were just going to take her around the block but he was letting Sid out onto the grass in front of the property at the time and they wanted to play, both her and Sid were amazing, she was diving all over his face and he was just playing back, she's already as big as him at 21 weeks.
He's the massive head, broad chest, short as anything type of staffy though so it's not hard to be bigger than him, they played for a good 5 minutes, she somehow turned upside down and sideways and her harness came off, did she care? Like hell she did, she was too busy playing with Sid on the grass to notice it had come off which is good, I want her to be able to play with him off lead and not run off. He's already trained to not go off the grass without his owner, I'll be honest my first thoughts of him and his owner were kind of "chavs" as they're known in the area to smoke weed and don't exactly hide it but, Sid is actually amazing well trained to the point he can take him down the highstreet without a lead on (though he doesn't for obvious reasons) and has no problems what-so-ever, he suggested a head collar for training if she's able to slip out the harness but that was my fault, I'd re-sized the harness and not checked if it was too loose, I love this harness as it's no-pull and it actually works, she still pulls a little but you can't feel it like you can a collar and lead at all, I'm also able to practice "watch me" in a situation with distractions and she did well a few times then decided distractions were more fun :Pbut we'll get there.
After we got the harness back on we did go round the block and she was so good, she still tries to jump up at people but I just pull her away now if she refuses to sit down. We met a tiny little chihuahua type dog and she barked at him, I think that's because of the 8 week old Chihuahua that had a go at her at the vets before however this little one wasn't bothered, it just sat there staring at her until we went our separate ways.
She still whines a lot, I got annoyed and would tell her to shut up but I've realized she's probably doing it for attention, good or bad attention is still attention so now I ignore her when she whines and we'll see how that goes.

Re: Update on Tiger and her first walk!
I am so glad she has healed up so wonderfully from her op and she was finally able to go out! Sounds like she was pretty well behaved while you were out which is awesome! Good job to you both for getting through that long time period where she needed to rest, I'm sure it wasn't easy! Great pics. She looks exhausted from her walk.

Re: Update on Tiger and her first walk!
Maria, she broke her leg at 12 weeks old because she's really heavy but really thin legs so she fractured her elbow joint and has pins in there now, I think the walk went as well as it did because Sid tired her out before hand, she's still gotta learn to not jump up as there's a lot of kids and elderly around here and it'll be the summer holidays soon.
Gonna take her out again this morning, gonna remember to take some water with us this time as she got very panty very quickly.
