Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
Saxon was $150 (about £90) with all of his supplies, and without papers and he is perfect! If I was looking for a papered dog, though, I think £300 is pretty reasonable, the family we got Saxon from supposedly paid $800 for him (nearly £500) and they didn't even get his papers!

How cute! Such a lovely expression!
I would have thought that £300 for a registered staff is at the lower end of the scale, but yes, I would think you can get a registered pup for that.

Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
Naz was totally free without papers from a Rescue Centre, and there are hundreds of poor unwanted Staffies in these places, all looking for kind owners
Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
Thank you Caryll
He does not sleep in the crate, that where he goes when he's got something he shouldn't have but he also plays in there
Wtg Carol, wish there was more like you, the rehoming centre are full of staffies, maybe and a big maybe when Bruno is a bit older, i might go and have a look at a rehoming centre and get one, but will have get Hubby into the idea would love a playmate for Bruno, but at the moment he's a handful on his own, feel like i've got 3 kids at the moment

Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
I would say to buy a health tested, fit for purpose carefull well bred puppy that is breed type with kc reg papers you would pay at least £450 plus.
You could buy a ? pedigree dog with papers for £300 (there are so many different papers you need to question there authenticity)
Bruno I think you did good with your puppy as a lot fall into the trap of thinking blue is very rare and therefore bump up the price.
And to all the ones that have rehomed through rescue or breeders, many are of excellent pedigree and the rescue will not rehome any dog with its papers its company policy to withhold the papers to protect the dog

Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
I paid 1300€ with papers for Toro. So 300 £ was little surprise for me
Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
We were taken for a ride, we paid £750 for Billy - with papers, but would not change him for anything.
I would love to have rescued, but we don't have the experience in case anything went wrong, I would have hated to give him back. Maybe we will rescue once Billy is a little older and get him a mummy, then we will have more experience to care for a rescue.

Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
Gem - Yes i think we have done well with him too, as i said he was up for £600 then the girl put the pups down £375.00 and we knocked her down to £350.
He is so laid back and affectionate and friendly couldn't ask for a better dog. So glad we got him, wouldn't be without him
I think at the time they were £600, she wasn't getting much interest so she went down on the price. They when the puppy were 5 weeks the mother past away, the girl did all she could took her to the vet etc she had eclampsia. She wasn't in it for the money, she just wanted the puppies to go to good homes I have got her on my facebook so she can watch him grow up and she's got 2 other puppies owners too.

Taken for a ride? No, I don't think so! He's a beauty & a loving, loyal companion. Small price to pay, really.

Lynne, Billy is a beautiful pup!! I bet he's worth every penny! Plus his birthday is 4 days after Saxon's!

I paid £300 for barney without papers... to us it was £300 well spent. we thought it didn't matter about papers because we wanted him as a pet and for no other reason. My brother is about to pay £750 for a blue puppy because it's hard to get a blue about these parts.

If you're happy with what you've bought (and you obviously are!) then you didn't pay too much! Simple!

Re: just out of curiousity (can't spell lol )
Lynne dont think you paid over the odds, i payed at a drop down price of £600 because someone else who paid the deposit decided at the last minute that they didnt want him. I think origionaly they were up for £850. Not sure i would have paid that amount at the time but for the joy he has brought me i would give the breeder the rest if i ever saw him again.
