Annoying/Frustrating !

Just been out doing my usual walk with the dogs as i do 2/3 times a day on this occasion i found myself annoyed stereo typed and well an truly offended ! One woman took one look at my PUPPIES yes puppies and crossed over to avoid them  then a couple in there late 40's on the park looked at them then began to run over to there little shih tzu and get it on the lead as fast as possible then walk the other way  then as i was crossing back over the road at the crossing on the way home another woman looked at them then her faced turned to what can only be described as 'a face like a slapped *'. Seems everybody round were i live thinks staffys are evil monsters this happens quite alot whether its me walking them my mum or step dad and it frustrates me so much ! i woudnt mind if my dogs were in the slightest bit intimidating but there not at all there puppies and are happy to see everybody.
does anybody else have problems like this ?

People are just ignorant, try not to let them get to you :-)

Your pups look absolutely gorgeous - just ignore the saddos. Just occasionally you may be able to educate them by inviting them to pet your beauties, always a good option but you have to pick your moment.

Dont let them get to you...if they avoid you then its their loss, if they're happy to approach you, educate Unfortunately its all part of owning a breed with a bad reputation

If I'm honest, I've only had this a couple of times. I find its more older, more educated dog owners that take the time to say hello etc. having said that, in a years time it might be a different story. Jut keep doing what ur doing and don't let these imbaciles get to u.  

People always pick up their little dogs. I dont mind cause lexi probably would eat them lol

I just hold my head high, they're problem & prejudice try not to let it bother you

Oh this is a post like this almost everyday! People are so ignorant to such a great breed, bad reputations are best left that way, because no one takes the time to open their mind to the truth! You and your family know what gorgeous little friendly pups you have and that is the main thing!

I've just been out and had it twice in the space of 5 minutes. Both times, owners hiding their dogs at the side of them and looking down their nose at Lola. What makes it better, and makes me feel so proud to own a Stafford is when their dog is going mental barking at Lola, and Lola doesn't even flinch and carries on strutting along shakin her booty. It does make me giggle.

Glad everybody else thinks there pathetic like i do ! and matty its like that when we're out as well all the smaller dogs and poodles and stuff bark and lunge for my dogs but mine don't bat an eyelid at them  

If that happens to me I tend to cross the road so I end up on the same side as the people trying dodge Herbie the look on their face is a picture xxx

I think its such a shame... I get this too when I'm walking Lexi, they are the ones missing out on meeting her, thats the way I think lol x

I came out of the Asda tonight and had to go over to stroke a beautiful blue staffy puppy and chat to his mum. Came away with puppy drool all over my hand/arm lol:lol: 

I think most of us have experienced this at one time or another. Some people just don't like dogs or are scared of them (like some people are scared of birds, for example), some people don't recognise that a puppy is still a puppy once they've grown past a few weeks old, and yes some people believe everything they read in The Sun. A cheery smile and friendly word often works wonders with these people (not everyone, you can't win 'em all!)  

oh hell yeah on a daily basis as they pull like mad which gets people scuttling all over the place. it did bother me at first but now it just means i get the path to myself, its realy there problem as if the dogs got the chance to come up to mine it would have fun fun fun but try explainging that to the narrow minded

I totally understand your frustration! It is truly annoying how ignorant people can be! I have learned not to let it bother me, as long as the people don't say anything to me!
