New addition to the family - meet Kai!

Hello all,
So all has been thought through and discussed and agreed and I have just picked up Kai from Dogs Trust - a gorgeous lab staffy cross, real handsome wee boy and full of beans you can imagine:x

He is still listed on Dogs Trust web page:

Stella and Kai met yesterday at the Dogs Trust center and all was very good.
Stella is used to having dogs visiting and other dogs in the car as well so I do not expect any problems there.
I spent whole weekend reading about how to help a new rescue dog to settle...

He is very friendly and absolutely gorgeous.
He knows his name and he can sit:oops:
He has already been spayed although he is only 9 months.
He jumps and tries to give frenchies, though, and he can pull on lead a bit, so I think I will be back here on the forum again 24/7 to look for advice, thanks a lot in advance:P
I know it'll take a while to all of us to settle in a new routine so I am will see how things go:P

Oh Kai is beautiful! Cant wait to see more pics and congrats on the new addition! Great to hear that Stella and Kai had a good first meeting! Cant wait to hear more!

They are playing real nice with Stella now.
She showed her teeth twice at the beginning but then she invited him to play and they have been playing nicely since:-)
He follows me everywhere in the house but I think the fact Stella is here will help him settle down much quicker.
He was a bit anxious when we went for a walk - whining like if he was worried he is walking again to be left somewhere so we only made a quick walkie around the house for now. They keep on running around in the garden anyway:x

All is going real well - they slept in the living room during the night, no whining from Kai probably because he saw Stella being cool; we went for a walkie and I let Kai off as well where it was 150% safe and he just stayed very close to us and came when called; they both play together brilliantly. Now I am about to start working and they are both sleeping on the sofa... Love Struck
