Hyperactivity and Raw
I have had Lana for about 4 weeks now and she has been on Raw for 3 weeks. She was previously on Bakers Puppy and I changed her to JWB until the switch to Raw. The thing she is hyperactive, bouncing off the wall kind of batsh*t crazy, until like 3 days ago. There seems to be a complete change in her, she still has mad moments but they are just 'moments' as opposed to hours lol.
I thought she might be ill but she is still playful like a puppy, eating well, pooping ok....just more chilled. Is this normal? I didnt see any evidence of 'detox' when I switched to Raw but am now wondering if the comercial food she was on might have caused her to be more hyperactive and her body is ridding itself of additives etc? Any experience of this or thoughts? Maybe she is just exhausted

Re: Hyperactivity and Raw
Bakers! Aaaaaaaagggghhhhhh!
Sorry, it's the worst possible food on the market & is known to cause hyperactivity - some of the E numbers in it are also known to cause cancer in humans!
So, to answer your question.....
Yes, the food was to blame, and yes, the raw has brought her back to normal puppy insanity instead of the off-her-head-and-bouncing-off-the-walls insanity!

Well I am rather happy about it She is my first puppy and just thought it was normal behaviour, we are all totally exhausted and my boys are like 'can't wait til she grows up!', but now she plays much more nicely without leaping all over them biting and trying to swing from their hair LOL She is also much more calm around other dogs we meet when out on walkies which is great.

Re: Hyperactivity and Raw
Changing to raw has calmed my Roxy - she was also very hyper. Now she is just normal, energetic, happy puppy. On the other hand, Vinny was very lethargic on commercial pet food and since changing to raw he is more energetic and enthusiastic!
