Sasha, Staffie, DOB 2006 – Godstone, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Sasha needs a companion home where she can enjoy walks, talks and cuddles. She came to us very overweight and needs to gradually lose weight through gentle regular exercise. Sasha needs to pick up with life again after her stable union with her past elderly owner. She is learning to settle around dog on her walks but her thing is people not dogs. She has a badly torn ear which healed many years ago. Only pet status.

Her Story: Sasha's owner died and a relative took her in for a few weeks and hunted high and low for a rescue place. Sasha is now spayed and being vaccinated. Sasha is currently in boarding kennels near Godstone, Surrey.
Advert: Sasha has always been loyal to her owner and described as a darling. She finds herself alone in a kennel and she is only coming to middle age ... so much of life yet to live. Sasha loves all ages of people, welcomes affection and in true Staffie fashion launches into give more affection than you can ever give her. A little defensive with dogs that get too close at this stage but is settling within the kennels with each coming day. Sasha is housetrained and travels well but is obviously not used to car travel.
Sasha is a 7 year old black and brindle Staffie of small stature and currently carrying too much weight. Not her fault, but she will gradually lose it: Sasha is not a greedy dog and needs encouragement to eat in kennels. Loyal, sincere and a very, very, great dear!
Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
Please visit Sasha’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra123520.php#123520 to find out if she is still available and for fuller details.

An update from Sasha's fosterer:
"Well Sasha has been with us for nearly 6 weeks and as people always say, it takes a fair time for a dog to settle completely. She still surprises us every day with different behaviour - all of which is pretty perfect to be honest!
She has become a cheeky little girl who makes us laugh every day. When I am preparing her dinner she doesn't stand and watch but runs round the pillar in my kitchen, very excited with her little tail wagging away. When I go to bed at night sometimes Rachel is still up, but I still put Sasha in the kitchen, settle her down and give her a kiss, tell her to be a good girl and go to sleep. I then walk into the lounge to say good night to Rachel and before I manage to get in there Sasha has run past and is sat in the lounge wagging her tail looking very pleased with herself - she likes to stay up late!! When she plays she makes the most adorable noises and trys to bark with her mouth full of toy. She still does her Meerkat impression, but is finding it more difficult as she is slimming down.
She went to the vet last week as she has a slight infection on her paw, she was weighed and has lost over 6.5 pounds!!! Woo Hoo she really is looking pretty fab now. So here she is just now after a long walk tucked up in her bed and somehow she has a cushion as well.
Sasha deserves her own family and is waiting patiently".

Well what an easy peasy little mama this girl is! No wonder her stay has been extended at Chez Nina (her foster place)! I very much doubt you'd know she was there except when you were smiling at her pretty little face!
A very cute little seal pup ... adorable or what?!
Sasha is still waiting to be adopted. Could you offer her a home?
